Chris Kort, CPOChris Kort is the President and founder of Prosthetics in Motion, located in NYC. Chris is an American Board Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist who has been in the Prosthetic and Orthotic industry for 29 years. He received his education at Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center and also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
During his professional career, Chris has worked with several different companies which have enabled him to experience all facets of the Prosthetic & Orthotic profession. He was the head Prosthetist/Orthotist for a large P & O company that covered all of Long Island, New York City, Westchester and Buffalo. He provided educational in-services to many hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. Chris also worked for two world-renowned prosthetics facilities based on Long Island. He has designed prostheses for patients of all ages and levels of limb loss including: congenital amputees, Van Ness rotationplasty, hip disarticulation and numerous bilaterals.
Chris has volunteered his time with amputee athletes providing prosthetic support at the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged, New York, the ASPIRE 10k, the Ocean to Sound Relay, CAF Triathalon, New York City Triathalon and monthly mobility clinics.

Chris was the guest speaker for the Grand Round Lecture for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University Hospital on prosthetic advancements.
In addition to Chris being American Board Certified, his professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP), New York State American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (NYSAAOP), the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) and American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
Kyle Wasarhaley, CPKyle Wasarhaley received his bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology from SUNY Albany. He gained exposure to the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics at Prosthetics in Motion, learning both the technical and clinical aspects of the profession. Seeing the positive impact that quality prosthetic care can have on an individual’s life, Kyle decided to further his education and pursue a career as a Prosthetist/Orthotist.
Kyle was then accepted into the inaugural Master’s program at Northwestern University. He studied on-site in Chicago at Northwestern University Prosthetic Orthotic Center and had the opportunity to complete his clinical rotations at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, as well as Chicago’s other premier prosthetic and orthotic facilities. Upon completion of his Master’s degree, Kyle returned to New York to Prosthetics in Motion for his dual Prosthetic and Orthotic residency.
Alex Santa, CPO
Alex Santa received his Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training at SUNY Cortland. During his time there, he worked with multiple varsity teams both on and off the field and practiced injury prevention, immediate first aid care, and rehabilitation of the injured athlete to return to play. During his senior year at SUNY Cortland, Alex received his Certification in Athletic Training and is still continuing to work part time with Hofstra University Athletics.
Following his undergraduate degree, Alex wanted to further pursue his knowledge in the medical field and specialize in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Alex was accepted into the University of Hartford where he completed his Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. While at school, he worked both on site in the prosthetic lab, as well as off site at multiple prosthetic facilities. After graduating in 2015, Alex then accepted a job on Long Island where he completed both his prosthetics and orthotics residencies in the two years to follow and passed all six tests to become a certified Prosthetist and Orthotist.
Alex joined the Prosthetics in Motion staff in December 2018 as a Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist.
